"The tech issues were absolutely nonstop"
The course itself might be fine, but the website was a total headache. I’m not exaggerating when I say the videos froze constantly, quizzes randomly didn’t save, and I got logged out for no reason. I had to redo sections more than once, which was unbelievably frustrating. For something this expensive, the tech side should 100% work way better than this.

"Question bank felt underwhelming"
I was hoping the question bank would be more useful, but it felt kind of weak. The questions could definitely use more depth and variety. I also got the impression that my feedback or message wasn’t really read, which made the whole experience a bit more frustrating.

"Updates are okay, but could be quicker"
I don’t know why, but some of the updates feel a little slow to come through. A lot of the material seems to be updated properly, but there were a few parts that felt late or not super clear. Overall it’s not bad, I just wish the updates were a bit faster.
"Still haven’t heard back from support"
I reached out to support and just kind of kept waiting, but days went by and I still never got a reply. Frustrating, especially when you’re just hoping for a quick answer or at least some kind of update
"Progress tracking felt messy"
The progress tracker was the biggest issue for me. Just not clear. I couldn’t really tell what I’d finished or what still needed work. Some of the numbers threw me off too. I kept going back to check everything twice. Didn’t trust it. Annoying, especially when studying is already stressful.

"Felt kind of stupid for trusting this to match the CPA exam"
I used Surgent because I thought it would be close to the real CPA exam, and now I feel kind of stupid for trusting that. On test day, a lot of the questions just felt different from what I had been practicing. Some topics were drilled way too much in the course, while other stuff barely seemed covered at all. The sims were probably the most frustrating part because they didn’t feel close enough to what I actually saw. Maybe it works better for other people, but for me the alignment with the real exam was really disappointing

"Takes too long to get through"
so I felt like this course took way longer than it really needed to. I kept having to click around and wait on things when all I wanted to do was study, finish the lessons, and move on.
"I signed up thinking the pass..."
I signed up thinking the pass guarantee would make me feel better about it, but it still just felt a bit risky to me

"The lecture videos are okay overall, but sometimes..."
The lecture videos are okay overall, but sometimes they get kinda blurry and it makes it a little hard to follow.
"Still didn’t feel ready for the exam"
I finished the course, but my gut was telling me I still wasn’t prepared enough for the exam. I expected to feel more confident by the end, but I was left second-guessing myself.

"Not great on my phone"
I tried using Surgent CPA Review on my phone. Not fun. Pages were slow. Buttons felt way too small. And the videos? Sometimes they just would not play right.
I ended up using my laptop most of the time. Which is annoying. Kind of defeats the whole mobile access thing. For the price, it really should work better on a phone.
"Diagnostic test didn’t really help me"
I signed up for Surgent mainly because the diagnostic assessment sounded like it would give me a clear starting point, but it didn’t really tell me anything useful.
The score felt kind of random, and the study plan it created didn’t line up with the areas I already knew I was weak in. I ended up having to do the work myself to figure out what to focus on, which made the whole thing feel avoidable.
For what it costs, I expected a lot more. Instead of saving me time, it just added extra stress and made me question whether the diagnostic part was worth relying on at all.

"Practice exams didn’t feel right"
Well... the practice questions just didn’t feel anything like what I saw on the real CPA exam. I felt like I spent time studying the wrong stuff, which was frustrating.

"Didn’t really fit my schedule"
I liked a few of the lessons I got through, but the schedule felt kind of strict for me. If I missed a couple days, I felt like I was already behind and couldn’t really shift things around easily. Maybe there’s a way to adjust it that I didn’t figure out, but with my full-time job it just wasn’t super practical. I can see it working for someone with a more predictable routine, just not mine.

"I had a feeling this study guide was..."
I had a feeling this study guide was going to be thrown together, it kind of proved me right. The layout felt messy, some of the information seemed outdated, and I kept having to reread sections because they just didn’t make much sense. Maybe I was already expecting it to be cheap and confusing, but using it definitely didn’t change my mind.

"Sim practice didn’t meet my expectations"
I have high standards for CPA prep, especially when it comes to simulations, and this just didn’t really measure up for me. The sim practice felt clunky and didn’t remind me much of the actual CPA exam format. Some of the explanations were way too brief, and a few questions were worded in a way that made me second-guess what they were even asking. Instead of feeling like I was improving, I mostly just felt frustrated. For the price, I expected a much smoother and more helpful practice experience.

"I used Surgent CPA Review for a..."
I used Surgent CPA Review for a bit, the answer explanations got frustrating. A lot of them felt way too short, or they would basically just repeat the right answer instead of actually explaining the concept or why the other options were "wrong."
When I missed questions, I didn’t feel like I was learning much from the feedback. I ended up having to look things up online to understand stuff that should’ve been explained in the course. For me, it just wasn’t "worth it."

"Refund was kind of a hassle, right?"
Canceling took longer than I expected, and getting my money back felt like more work than it should’ve been. I mean, that’s not just me being impatient, right?

"Adaptive features missed the mark"
I was hoping the adaptive stuff would actually pick up on what I needed, but it kept missing the point. It felt like I was constantly having to correct it or work around it. And whenever I brought it up, the responses just sounded like canned apologies instead of someone actually looking into the issue. Frustrating overall.

"Access ended earlier than expected"
The subscription was actually decent while I could use it, which made it even more annoying when my access got cut off too soon. I guess it worked fine right up until it didn’t
